Promos For Instagram Stories
Instagram stories are a great way for an organization, a business, or an individual to promote themselves. However, the popular social media app only allows videos that are fifteen seconds or less in a single upload. While there isn’t enough time to use the power of storytelling to influence emotions, I instead focused on the Peripheral Route to Persuasion with fast-paced imagery and music to instantly grab the viewer’s attention. Below, you’ll see a few of these short videos that I’ve made from scratch for a fraternity’s event promotion.
Celebrity Performance
Famous rapper, Waka Flocka Flame, was featured in this February event. With such a big name coming to perform, the promotional video was designed as a surprising reveal for anyone who saw the Instagram story. Working with the fifteen-second-limit, I tried incorporate as much suspense and build-up as I possibly can, using sound effects I personally produced on Logic Pro X.
Police-themed
Extremely happy with the results of the first video, the same fraternity immediately asked me to work on another promotion for a police-themed event. The promo is stylized to mimic dash-cam footage one would particularly see on shows such as “COPS”.
Electro-themed
Early fall of 2019, I was tasked to create an Instagram promotion for an event that featured Avstin James, a well-known EDM artist and DJ.
